As part of the Action Plan for the Ground Transport Industry and Sustainable Mobility, the Ministère de l’Économie, de la Science et de l’Innovation has given Jalon 1.2 million dollars to implement a data-sharing and test strategy for intelligent and sustainable mobility.
Through this initiative, Jalon will deploy a virtual space allowing for the sharing and cross-referencing of mobility data within a single infrastructure, thereby benefiting researchers and businesses seeking to develop new products and services.
The infrastructure being created will encourage the development of innovative applications and facilitate algorithmic and artificial intelligence research in the field of mobility.
“Every day, the mobility ecosystem generates an ever-growing quantity of data that is processed and analyzed in isolation. The standardization and pooling of these data sets through the infrastructure Jalon is proposing will speed up the development of new mobility models,” explains Jean-François Tremblay, CEO of Jalon. “By prioritizing the structured sharing of data, we are also proud to be contributing to the growth of the potential applicability of artificial intelligence relating to mobility.”
As part of the testing component, Jalon will support some fifteen projects from the industrial milieu in the field of mobility, incorporating principles of sustainable development.
