As part of the public consultations spearheaded by the Office de consultation publique de Montréal (OCPM) regarding the Namur-Hippodrome neighbourhood, Jalon submitted a report entitled Intégrer la logistique des marchandises à l’échelle d’un quartier (Integrating freight logistics at the neighbourhood level, French PDF only), which urged those in charge of neighbourhood planning, development and regulations not to repeat past mistakes and instead to reduce the impacts of “last mile” delivery so that future residents can enjoy a calm living environment designed on a human scale.
This report is a supplement to the presentation that Jalon made as part of the Forum Citoyen Namur-Hippodrome: quartier innovant et durable, which took place on January 23, 2020 and invited citizens from all walks of life to share planning ideas that would benefit the future of the neighbourhood.
